This is my first time buying a ring light, I needed one for my Facebook live beauty videos and this is perfect. I’m a novice and I’m super happy with this product.
I just finished assembling it, which was quite easy to do once I followed instructions.
I’m happy with my purchase and I will do an updated review once I start using it after around a month or two, but so far I’m pleased.Update: it’s been about 2 months and it’s still going well.

This is exactly what I was looking for to enhance my makeup business!!
This ring light is an awesome addition to any photographers kit. It works well with the included plastic snap-on diffusers, the cord is a decent length, and the brightness control gives you a good range.
It isnt SUPER bright and doesnt have the best fill range, but for close up work and good soft portrait lighting it is very nice. The carrying case is definitely handy, and everything stores pretty neatly inside of it.
The camera mount can feel a bit wonky with a full DSLR camera and lens attached, and the mount for placing it on a tripod isnt the sturdiest when tightened, but for the price it does the trick.
Neewer has always been a 5-10 for me, meaning that many of their features and materials on a given product are a 10/10 while certain aspects, such as mounts or cables, are 5/10.

Postmodern Film Approach: The Killers (Part 1)

This is the first of a multi part article on the Mark Hellinger production The Killers. This film is seminal in the history of cinema in many unique ways.

Postmodern Film Approach – The Killers (Part 2)

This is the second part of a continuing look at Robert Siodmak’s film The Killers. This film is important in the history of cinema for many different reasons.

Postmodern Film Approach: SHUTTER

Shutter – Of course, even before entering the theater, I knew that going to check out the latest J-horror film Shutter would involve putting up with fifty 10-14 year olds shrieking out fake screams of terror, making snide comments at the screen loud enough for everybody in the theater to hear, and texting and talking on their cell phones throughout the picture. This is just an extension of school, or the mall, or a friend’s basement. The idea that the cinema could be a place housing art as important as any museum doesn’t occur to kids this age.

Postmodern Film Approach – The Day of the Jackal

This is a brief musing on Zinneman’s adaptation of Fredric Forsythe’s first novel. The level of craftsmanship may be higher than that of the source material.

Postmodern Film Approach – Last Tango in Paris

Last Tango in Paris is a film student’s dream. It presents numerous examples of many different aspects of film studies and, apart from the film itself, has a lot of mystique and controversy connected with it. These are some short notes on the first fifteen minutes or so.
